Election Preview: Polling, Outcomes and the Fallout
Thursday Oct 29, 2020
Thursday Oct 29, 2020
With one of the most consequential elections in US history approach, I do my best to preview what is ahead. First, an analysis of current polling, and what I think the expected outcome will be. Then, Five Things to be Happy About, Five Things to Worry About, and wrapping up with the dangerous dynamic that exists in this election cycle. What will the fallout of a Trump or Biden victory be? What level of civil unrest will exist with any given outcome? And why are Democrats and Republicans so divided on the consequence of this election?

Dear Trump Supporters and undecided voters. It has been a long four years for everyone, and we are now engaged in a highly consequential election. In this video, I walk through my thoughts on Trump, review some of his behaviors, and wonder how his supporters manage to stand by him. How and why do voters vote for polarizing candidates from either side? Is there a moral or ethical line which, if a candidate crosses, they will lose the votes of their party? All this and more in this video.

SCOTUS, Pandemic, Election, and Suppression
Thursday Oct 15, 2020
Thursday Oct 15, 2020
What a crazy few weeks. I take a look at the rising COVID cases, and our President's encounter with the virus.
Amy Coney Barrett just wrapped up her portion of her Supreme Court nomination hearings. I discuss how the selection and nomination process can be changed to better serve the public.
The election is fast approaching, and the attempts to suppress the vote are alive and well. I examine the latest polling data, potential election outcomes, and explore some of the suppression cases we have seen in the news.

George Floyd was Obvious, but Rayshard Brooks is the Norm
Monday Jun 22, 2020
Monday Jun 22, 2020
In this week's episode, I take a look at the Rayshard Brooks shooting. While George Floyd's death was an obvious abuse of power by law enforcement, I believe Rayshard Brooks' death more accurately represents the status quo for what systemic racism actually looks like in America.
I also take a look at Tasers, their effectiveness, and whether they have any practical use to police officers, or if they have the potential to make life more difficult for police.
The State of Rhode Island is weighing whether or not the state name should be changed (Remove the word "explanations) so I embark on a brief history.
And finally...

Systemic Racism in America

Monday Jun 15, 2020
After touching on some of the events of the past week, including some protests I attending and Philonise Floyd's testimony at the House Judiciary community, I take a look at some tragic history that we just don't learn about in school. Specifically, three massacres of black Americans in America in the early 1900s and a 1985 bombing. Finally, some facts you didn't know about the confederate flag!

George Floyd - Work to be Done
Friday Jun 05, 2020
Friday Jun 05, 2020
On May 25th, 2020, George Floyd was murdered by Minneapolis police officers. Since, nationwide protests have been held across all 50 states. But the nation is not unified. Many have made attempts to diminish or delegitimize the efforts to seek justice for George Floyd, or stall the movement for equality focusing instead on looting, rioting, or other tragic events that distract from the moment. This episode examines some of the factors that contribute to those dissenting and skeptical voices, and I talk about what I feel are important steps we must take toward progress.
